Staying online in France

From the Paris Métro to lavender fields in Provence, a France eSIM keeps maps, tickets and translations at hand. You land connected, without hunting for airport Wi-Fi or a local SIM shop.

Mobile coverage

Paris and other cities have fast 4G and 5G, including much of the Métro. Coverage is generally good in the countryside, with weaker spots in the Alps, the Pyrenees and some rural valleys.

Good to know in France

  • Buy Métro and RER tickets on your phone with the official app or a contactless card, rather than queueing at machines.
  • Book the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower and Versailles online in advance. Tickets are scanned from your phone.
  • SNCF Connect holds your train tickets. Keep data on for last-minute platform changes.
  • France is in the Schengen area, so a Europe eSIM is great if you are continuing to Spain, Italy or beyond.
